After a fantastic festival last summer, the GT Bicycles Malverns Classic is back, from 25-28 August 2022. This three-day, family-friendly extravaganza returns with a packed schedule of riding, racing and other activities – climbing wall or dodgems, anyone?
Competitive types can sign up for everything from dual slalom to downhill and enduro, not forgetting the quad eliminator and pump track challenge. There are events for the little ’uns too, in the form of Rippers Racing and the Balance Bike World Champs. Or, just watch the action as an enthusiastic spectator.
Off the race course, you can relive past glories in the retro-bike ‘Show and Shine’ and attempt to learn some new tricks on the (free) airbag. Make sure not to miss the infamous lake ride or the Dirt Wars comp. If you want to get those pedals turning, there’s an expo village, demo bikes to try out and the XC loop is open all hours.
There’ll be a smorgasbord of top riders in attendance, too, from Martyn Ashton to Danny Macaskill, Hans Rey to Josh Bryceland. Those wanting to shred with their heroes can join ride-outs, including a women’s enduro ride with Project Evolve’s Sian Dillon and Becci Skelton. Top that off with a bar, live music and DJ sets, and there’s no better place to be this August!
