For our latest Subscriber Zone competition, we've teamed up with Sheffield-based HKT Products to give away three great bundles of gear, including your own custom mudguards, a full frame protection kit and a year’s supply of brake pads. We’re asking you to get creative, so get scribbling!
THE PRIZE
There are plenty of companies out there making mudguards, but HKT are the only one we’ve come across who’ll let you design your own custom fender, using their simple online tool. We’ve given it a go, and it really is a cinch.
Now you can have a try – and if you’re one of the three lucky subscribers whose design gets picked by our judges, you’ll be sent a pair of your own custom ’guards. Not only that, but you’ll also receive a HKT frame and fork protection kit and a year’s supply of brake pads!
Three winners will each get:
- Two HKT Protect custom mudguards*
- A HKT Protect Fully Monty frame & fork kit
- A year’s supply of 35bikes brake pads**

THE COMPETITION
All you have to do is design your mudguard using HKT's online tool, download it as a .pdf file and send it to mbuk@ourmedia.co.uk with the subject line ‘HKT compeition’. The most creative designs, in the eyes of our judges, will win. Bonus points for sharing on Instagram, with the hashtag #hktcomp. You’re welcome to share more than one design.
Terms & conditions: The Promoter is Our Media Limited (an Immediate Group Company), Eagle House, Bristol, BS1 4ST. The promotion is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, aged 18 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 26 October 2023. By entering the promotion, the participants agree: (a) to be bound by these terms and conditions; and (b) that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for pre-arranged promotional purposes. Entrants should enter by submitting their details on the online form. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered. Entrants must supply to Our Media Ltd their full name and email address. The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Immediate Privacy Policy (www.immediatemedia.co.uk/privacy-policy). More than one entry will be permitted per person. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted. There are three prizes, each comprising two HKT Protect custom mudguards of the same design, a HKT Protect Fully Monty frame and fork protection kit and 12 sets of 35bikes brake pads. The winning entrants will be chosen from all eligible entries by the Promoter after the closing date. The Promoter’s decision as to the winners is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into. The Promoter may share the details of the winners with the prize provider for the purposes of fulfilling/delivering the prize. The winners will be notified within seven days of the close of the promotion by email. If a winner cannot be contacted, or fails to respond within 28 days of such notification being sent, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion. There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable. The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of the same or greater value. The surname and county of residence of the winners will be available upon request by sending an SAE to Mountain Biking UK Subscriber Zone competition, Our Media Ltd, Eagle House, Bristol, BS1 4ST, within two months of the closing date of the promotion. The Promoter will contact the winners before releasing this information and provide the winners with the opportunity to object or limit the amount of information shared. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries. The Promoter excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to any participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winner arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.
