The concept
“How do you safely store more bikes, in less space, while not affecting access?” That was the question Elliot Tanner faced when his family expanded, leaving him in the gut-wrenching position of potentially having to sell some of his bikes. As an engineer, he came up with a neat solution – the SpaceRail, a ceiling-mounted system where the bikes hang from hooks. These can be slid along the titular rail to get them as close as possible to each other, while accommodating different frame shapes and handlebar widths, and allowing easy removal of the bike you want to ride. The system is designed in Wales and 100 per cent manufactured in the UK, right down to the extrusion of the aluminium rails. It can accommodate between one and 12 bikes.
