The GT Bicycles Malverns Classic is the UK’s biggest summer MTB party and it’s back for 2022 with an action-packed line-up of great racing and entertainment. Legendary in the ’90s and revived successfully in 2018, this family-friendly bike fest has something for everyone – and we've got a weekend package for two to give away to one lucky MBUK subscriber in our latest Subs Zone competition.
The event
The Malverns Classic takes place from 25-28 August at Eastnor Deer Park, near Ledbury in Herefordshire. There are too many highlights to list here, but our favourites include the lake ride – where riders compete on parallel tracks bobbing on the water’s surface – the Balance Bike World Championships and the massive expo area, packed with trade stands, retro bikes and more.
If you don’t fancy racing, you can bring your own bike and ride the XC loop and any courses that aren’t in use, or throw some tricks on the iXS Air Bag. The one-and-only Danny MacAskill is going to be dropping in (literally!) with his Drop n Roll show, and there are live DJs to keep you entertained in the evenings, including Leeroy Thornhill of Prodigy fame.
