This month in MBUK magazine, join the Santa Cruz team on a Chilean MTB adventure with a difference, take a look back over the last 10 years of the World Cup with our retrospective feature and catch up with the pros to discover how they’ve been making the most of lockdown.

Plus, more of the past decade’s best bikes in part two of our Raddest Rides re-reviews, along with first-ride reports of BMC’s agonist and the French-made Moustache Samedi e-bike. On top of this, we talk to Olly Wilkins and Casey Brown, and bring you the lowdown on all the latest kit in Wrecked and Rated.

10 years of triumph & tragedy

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. And to compensate for the lack of racing this year, we’ve put together a retrospective feature looking back over the past 10 years of downhill World Cup action.

With timelines for men’s and women’s racing, it’s the perfect way to swat up on your pro-racing history before the gates open again.

Dust brothers

Writer and videographer Sam Needham is joined by the Santa Cruz team’s finest and fiercest riders for an MTB trip to the volcanic landscape of Chile. In this unusual South American landscape they discover moon-candy dust, all-night parties and an experience unlike anything they've seen on two wheels. Masks up, boys!

Don't try this at home

Backyard tracks: every MTB kid's dream! We caught up with Matt Jones and Brendan Fairclough during lockdown to see how they’ve been taking homemade playgrounds to a whole new level of extreme. Their slopestyle-heavy creations include massive jumps, technical challenges galore and, in Brendan’s case, even his own house.

We’ve pulled on 15 pairs of baggy riding shorts and tested them head to head, in a bid to find the ultimate choice for comfort, durability, tool/snack storage and unrestricted movement on the trails.

Salisbury Plain Big Ride

Our resident man of maps Max Darkins and photographer Russell Burton head out for a scorching early-summer ride around Russ’s local trails on the unspoiled rolling hills of Wiltshire’s Salisbury Plain.

From winding medieval streets to serpentine singletrack trails via the odd megalithic monument, the inimitable atmosphere of this beautiful area makes for an MTB day out like no other.
